Taco Pie

Taco Pie is becoming one of my and my hubbies favorite meals! It's so simple and so easy to make, and it tastes so yummy! Let me share the recipe with ya! Let me know what you think. Did you like it? Did you make some changes? I make a few changes every time I've made it, just altering it a little bit.

TACO PIE

Ingredients:
1 can crescent rolls
2 cups crushed tortilla chips (We have used fritos, and just plain tortilla chips, both taste yummy!)
1-2 cups cheddar cheese
1lb taco meat prepared
Olives
8 oz Sour Cream

Directions
1. Prepare 1lb taco meat and set aside.
2. Using a 9inch pie dish, line the dish with the crescent rolls. I wish I could say there was a method to the way I line it.. but I found trying to actually line up the dang little triangle pieces, was way to difficult. So I put in one piece with the point going toward the middle, then I just fill in the gaps around it. Press the seams of each piece together, to form a seal, and make it all as one piece. This is the crust of the pie.
3. Take 1 cup of the crushed chips, and line the pan on top of the crust.
4. Layer the Taco Meat, on top of the crushed chips.
5. Layer olives on top of the taco meat, then take the sour cream, and layer on top of the olives. (I don't like olives or sour cream, so I leave this off, and my husband will just put the olives and sour cream on top of his piece of pie, after it is cooked. So that is definitely an option if you have picky eaters)
6. Depending on how much you like cheese, take 1-2 cups and put on top of the taco meat (or olives and sour cream if you used it. (we really like cheese in our house, so I usually use LOTS)
7. Take the remaining cup of chips, and sprinkle on the top. Make sure it is spread out evenly.
8. Bake at 350* for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown (Depending on ovens times might vary)

Let cool for a few minutes, then slice and enjoy! Like I said I leave the Sour Cream and Olives out, and serve it on top for my husband. Could be also served with salsa!

Enjoy!
